Well it’s been a while since I had written some mini reviews on world movies (I have a bunch of them on my Raspberry Pi 2, however needs a lot of editing). I had this post written last year (2014) and I’m glad atleast it’s out now (2015). I had a glance on those horde of reviews and this one caught my attention. I am not a fan of this genre, couldn’t blame my curiosity (such a bad thing, huh?) for poking into such things. This compilation genre does not fall under full-gore, slasher or zombie type, instead it depicts torture, incest, rape, bizarre porn, etc. other sick-oh types you could imagine.

Each flick is rated from the bottom to top (the usual countdown paraphernalia), will contain a very small overview about the film (collected from internet and some on my own) and hopefully my rants lurking here and there (spoilers beware). You could also find links to buy the DVD for certain movie flicks. The article contains screen captures and the ratings on sickness factor, blood, torture, nudity & rape. These ratings are gauged on a scale between 1 to 5 stars.

Disclaimer: Opinions expressed in this article are solely my own and not intended to hurt anybody. This is my own list of compilation. Some may or may not agree with these flicks the way I had rated. There is a separate section dedicated to the movies that did not make up in this top 15. I may have missed some masterpieces in this write-up (Apologies for that). However, I had put my best list in here. Skim through the article and I would love to hear some honest views from movie buffs, critics or anybody who’s been into this genre. Off to the countdown now.

15. The Untold Story (1993)

précis: Cops investigate a criminal running an unsuspecting restaurant, while trying to trace the steps back to how he ended up running it suddenly.

This movie is based on a true event that happened in Macau, China. When I saw this movie it immediately recalled my thoughts of a 1970’s movie The Cannibal Man (1973). Untold Story has quite an amount of gore scenes and the most disturbing sequence is the killer potrayed by Anthony Wong butchers little kids. Apart from a bunch of mutilation scenes, the most nauseating part of the movie is he murders the victims, chops them to pieces and serves those flesh chunks to the customers of his restaurant as “pork-chops”. There is an annoying comedy track alongside the movie which makes this flick less gripping.

14. The Bunny Game (2010)

précis: A prostitute named “Bunny” looking for her next meal hitches a ride with a demented trucker that leaves her praying for her next breath. Will Bunny survive the mayhem?

This movie was filmed in black and white, it wouldn’t have made much difference if it was shot in color as there is not much blood and gore involved. There are quite intense scenes in this flick. Prolonged nudity, blowjobs, drugs and strangulation involved.

13. Irreversible (2002)

précis: Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in the underpass.

“Excellent cinematography, amazing computer graphics & special effects on the fire-extinguisher scene as well as other scenes where Cassel and Dupontel are in pursuit of the rapist (especially the car scenes). The sick rape act really pushes you out of the edge. This movie was filmed in a reverse-chronological order, something like that of Memento (2000) & Peppermint Candy (1999) style. This movie is a masterpiece from Gaspar Noé, his earlier flick I Stand Alone (1998) had some intense incest content but Irreversible emerges to be more disturbing compared to that.”

12. The Human Centipede II (2011)

précis: Inspired by the fictional Dr. Heiter from the Movie The Human Centipede (2009), disturbed loner Martin dreams of creating a 12-person centipede and sets out to realize his sick fantasy. He kidnaps and mutilates people in order to reassemble them into a human centipede, by stitching their mouths to each others rectums.

This movie was intentionally shot in black and white and it is a sequel to the first part The Human Centipede (2009). This flick was banned in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. This film would have been more disquieting if it was shot in color. Eventhough its a B&W movie, it did deliver justice in terms of sickness and disturbing nature of content and better than its prequel. Some high octane alarming scenes include Martin using crowbar to bludgeon his mother’s scalp, throat-slitting & purgating his victims.

11. Salò, or 120 Days of Sodom (1975)

précis: Four fascist libertines round up nine adolescent boys and girls and subject them to 120 days of physical, mental and sexual torture.

Sadomasochism is what Salò is about. Lot of graphical torture violence scenes involving both the genders. Some disgusting scenes like feces feast will make the audience go sick for a while.

10. Cannibal Holocaust (1980)

précis: A New York University professor named Harold Monroe travels to the wild and returns from a rescue mission to the Amazon rainforest with the footage shot by a lost team of documentarians who were making a film about the area’s local cannibal tribes.

Most controversial movie during the 80’s era. Banned in Australia, Finland, New Zealand and in other 47 countries. The director Ruggero Deodato was falsely arrested on accuse of murdering the main crew cast during the filming of Cannibal Holocaust. Deodato had signed a contract with four main crew cast that they should not appear in any type of media, motion pictures, or commercials for one year following the film’s release on 1980. Finally, Deodato proved to the court that those actors were indeed alive and charges on Deodata were lifted and he was released. I pretty much admire this director, he is amazingly smart. In this movie, you will encounter real-life killings of various animals (Turtle(very disturbing), Snake, Monkey, Wild Pig, etc), rape, cannibalism and the infamous impalement.

9. Aftermath (1994)

précis: When the others leave for the night, the last mortician begins to fondle the corpse of a young woman, tearing her clothes off, mutilates her and then rapes her corpse while taking pictures with a camera and timer. He brings her heart back home to his dog for food.

Isn’t the précis shocking? This flick’s runtime is just around 30 - 35 minutes, it is guranteed to disturb viewers a lot. Eventhough they are rubber corpses, the graphic content is pretty sick.

8. Antichrist (2009)

précis: While a married couple is having sex, their infant son in a nearby room falls out a window to his death. She becomes distraught and is hospitalized, but her husband, who is a psychiatrist, attempts to treat her. Deciding that she needs to face her fears, he takes her to a cabin in the woods (Eden) where she spent a previous summer with the boy. Once they are there, she becomes more unhinged and starts perpetrating sexual violence on her husband and herself.

This movie is an epic artistic masterpiece. Though it has serious scenes of discomfort like mutilating genitelia, blooded ejaculation, strangulation, etc. the eerie background score and visual effects takes higher precedence and drags you into the “Eden” itself. The movie is narrated in a “chapter” style as of Quentin Tarantino’s panache.

7. Martyrs (2008)

précis: A young woman’s quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tormented her as a child leads her and a friend, who is also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity.

Viewers should possess a certain bit of endurance levels to withstand the prolonged torture scenes. Stunning performance by the actresses, Morjana Alaoui and Mylène Jampanoï. The sadistic & brutal torture scenes forms the crux of this flick.

6. Snuff 102 (2008)

précis: A young reporter begins to unravel the secrets of an underground myth “snuff flicks”. Soon she falls in a gruesome spiral of shocking images, not suited for the faint hearted.

The serial killer is an inhumane sadistic being who names his victims as 100, 101 & 102 and tortures them mercilessly. One of the victims is a pregnant woman and those scenes are highly disturbing to watch, the shock factor is insane.

5. The Angels’ Melancholia (2009)

précis: Feeling his mortality and fearing that he’s reaching the end of his life, Katze decides to meet up with his old friend Brauth at an old house in which they used to spend time delving into dark pleasures. He also finds that two other old acquaintances of his are attending, the group decides to allow Katze to go out in style as their fun turns increasingly more depraved and horrific.

Intense graphic scenes, too much animal cruelty, masturbations and orgy followed by highly disturbing torture stuff. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.

4. A Serbian Film (2008)

précis: An aging porn star agrees to participate in an “art film” in order to make a clean break from the business, only to discover that he has been drafted into making a pedophilia and necrophilia themed snuff film.

Most disturbing and a shocking flick, definitely not for the squeamish. The film has been banned in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Norway. Strong gore and sadistic content throughout the movie especially the new-born porn scene. This mind-blowing dark theme music suits this flick perfectly, it was used to be my ringtone.

3. Slaughtered Vomit Dolls (2006)

précis: The gruesome tapestry of psychological manifestations of a nineteen year old bulimic runaway stripper-turned prostitute as she descends into a hellish pit of satanic nightmares and hallucinations.

This flick lacks plot and involves humongous disturbing vomit gore sequences. Hard to withstand those scenes and pretty much makes you sick. Not much of a shock value, but when it comes to the most disgusting scenes, SVD emerges as the most potential contender.

précis: An intense anatomy of three serial delusional killers on a murderous spree.

This flick maybe intentionally filmed through a crappy videocam inorder to make the audience believe it as a real snuff movie. Features strong gore content, necrophelia, sadomasochism, puking, penectomy, incest, rape and what not?.

WARNING

So you’ve reached to this point. Well, the compilation from top 15 to 2 are all movies and documentary flicks featuring fictional characters. Either rubber models or dummies were used in the gory deranged scenes. However, the number one isn’t. So be warned. This shockumentary involves real-life sadistic, ultra-graphical disquieting footages collected from the unknown and deepest corners of the world through the internet and compiled as a full-length documentary. No movie screen captures are included other than the front cover. I am not creating a hype in promoting/recommending this flick, This is a highly disturbing documentary and I don’t recommend it to anybody (Sorry Thomas, however there is a buy link to the documentary at the end of post). Watch at your own risk. Faint-hearts please stay away from this.

précis: Over three hours of the most disgusting and disturbing shock clips ever caught on camera. Guaranteed to be the most sickest movie ever made in the history of cinema.Banned in 131 Countries.

This is the most disgusting, horrific, shocking content you will ever experience in your life. This documentary is a sequel to its original MDPOPE I. It took me two weeks to completely watch MDPOPE I (prequel), I couldn’t watch it continuosly for more than 7 minutes, so I had to break it up. Well, MDPOPE II took me one and half months to finish it off fully. DO NOT WATCH THIS ALONE.
